American Pronunciation Coach provides private, intensive, customized training to help you speak English more fluently and comprehensibly, and reduce your accent. We will work together to help you achieve your goals. I will diagnose your speaking habits in English and teach you the difference between your first language and English.

Your accent is a result of transferring first language rules to English, which has its own rules. I design each lesson specifically for your needs and will show you techniques that will change your pronunciation and intonation and give you a much more fluent sound. I will help you with your sound in English, your accent, and we wlll improve your comprehensibility if you are having problems being understood. I can also help you understand Americans better. If you’re missing 25% or more of what you hear when Americans speak, in conversations, in meetings, in trainings and conferences, then you’re missing a significant amount of information. On the other hand, if you’re speaking English and you are hard to understand, you may be losing 25% or more of your audience.

I’ve been helping people change their sound in English for a long time. I have extensive experience in pronunciation, accent reduction, fluency and intonation. I hold a Master’s Degree with High Honors in Teaching English as a Second or Foreign Language and a Bachelor’s Degree with Honors in Education.

We can work together to determine your pronunciation needs and move you toward your goals. If face-to-face is impractical, we’ll use an online communication service to conduct our sessions, or send audio files back and forth with feedback. We’ll teach you techniques that you can practice on your own, between sessions, to maintain your new skills.

If you require stronger motivation or more opportunity to practice, it may be possible to work intensively with you on location in a 2 – 3 week customized program. These intensive programs are established individually through careful arrangement.  They can be stand alone programs, or be followed by an extended practice program for you to do on your own or with online support. A program of continuing support can be created to ensure you don’t lose your new skills.
