That’s the title of a little book published by Cambridge Handbooks for Language Teachers. Authors Paul Emmerson and Nick Hamilton have assembled a nice collection of warm-up/cool-down activities, across a range of skill levels, from elementary to quite advanced. The nice thing about these activities, rather one of the nice things, is that they can be used as is, as short exercises, or they can be extended beyond that, to explore or augment students’ knowledge and skills in each area of business talk.
Are you perhaps teaching high school ESL? We all know that public school teachers are bound by curriculum and standards, but these quickies could work as brief visits into the world of life-after-high-school language.
